Price includes:

25-minute session at a specified location*
5 beautifully retouched photos (color + b&w)**

High resolution digital files with Print Rights

What is a Mini Session?

Our mini-sessions are 25 minute portrait sessions that are offered seasonally. You will work with one of our photographers as we capture you and your loved ones in the beauty of the great outdoors! We will select the Portland-area location, assign you a time slot, and you simply meet us there (fingers crossed for colorful fall foliage!). You will receive 5 beautifully retouched photos as digital downloads with 'print rights', as well as the option to purchase prints and products through our professional photo labs.

How does this all work?

After your mini session, you will receive 2 separate online photo galleries:

Proofing Gallery: within 2-3 weeks of your session date, you will receive an online proofing gallery with un-edited photo 'proofs'. Choose your favorite 5 images which we will edit in both black & white and color.
Final Photo Gallery: Once photo editing is completed (approximately 6 weeks after we receive your proof selection) you will download your final edited images directly from the online gallery. You will receive high-resolution JPEG files with personal 'print rights'. Use your photos to make holiday cards, photo prints, or gifts. You can conveniently order prints and products within your online gallery using our professional photo lab services, or use your digital file downloads to order from the lab of your choosing. You will have 10 days to download your photo files from the gallery. After that time, the download option will be disabled and a $25 download fee will apply to reinstate it. The gallery will remain open through the holiday season of 2017 with options to purchase prints and products from our quality print labs.

How much time do I have to select my 5 proofs?

Your session fee includes a 30-day proofing process. You will have 30 days from the delivery of your Proofing Gallery to select your favorite images. If you are unable to select your images within 30 days, we will select our favorites and get started editing. Requests for additional proofing time will incur a proofing gallery fee of $25 per month/2 additional months max.

What Should I Wear to My Session?

After you reserve your spot, we will send you a list of clothing recommendations and some additional ideas for what to bring to your session.

What if it Rains?

If the weather is merely sprinkling, bring your cutest rain boots and umbrellas and let's have fun! We will not cancel the session in the event of light sprinkles. However, if the rain is too heavy for a suitable photo session, we will notify you of a cancellation either the day before the session or the morning of. There are no refunds for rain outs. Instead, we will work to ensure we get your session rescheduled. We will provide one alternative mini-session date. If you are not available during that date, you can use your session fee as a credit towards one of our full portrait sessions ($400).

2015 Fall Family Portrait Mini Sessions

As we gear up for all the wonderful things this new year is going to offer, we’d like to take a moment and thank all of our friends, families, clients, and business partners for making 2015 our most profitable and by far our most exciting year to date! We continue to be humbled by your support and are inspired now more than ever.

Please keep a look out for the new projects we have coming in 2016 – like our collaborations with local artists, fun destination weddings, personal photography shows in galleries, AND seasonal deals and giveaways. There is so much to look forward to!

But before we move forward we wanted to share some great photos from last year’s Fall Family Mini Sessions (we hoped to share these earlier, but many families used these photos for their holiday cards so we didn’t want to ruin their surprise ;)

Riddle Family Christmas

It has become an annual tradition in my family to cut down a Christmas tree, so 2 weeks ago my blue-eyed 'threenager' Quintin, my handsome hubby Ken, and I set out to Quail Creek Ranch to get our family tree...but this time we were determined to capture a few family photos as well. As a photographer, I am always behind the camera - so it's a rare occasion when I find myself on the opposite side of the lens. My amazing photography counterpart Kate was kind enough to brave the rain and capture a few absolutely precious moments of my wonderful family. Kate, thank you so much for these memories.

And, in true Erin and Kate fashion, no Parallel blog post would be complete without a few photo "pretties". I took a break from the editing rush last week and took my camera for a walk to capture the winter details in my home and neighborhood. Love this season!

Val and Nick Get Married in the Dominican Republic!

These two crazy lovebirds got married in the Dominican Republic back in March and their fun photos have been waiting to be seen!

The party started with a snorkeling/dancing/laughing booze cruise the day before the wedding - which got everyone in the mood to celebrate Val and Nick the following day at their gorgeous beach ceremony. Post ceremony festivities included a late night dance party and nude swim in the warm sea (you'll have to ask the couple to see those photos). The following morning topped it all off with a wedding party trash-the-dress run into the crystal blue ocean waters. We'd actually like to title this post "Sunburns and Hangovers and Couldn't be Happier!"

Val and Nick have traveled the world together so it's only fitting that they were married in the tropical beauty of the DR. They love traveling so much they can't stop! We follow them on instagram and seems like they're somewhere interesting stateside or abroad all the time. They make it a priority. Along with laughing. There is a carefree playfulness to this couple that's addicting to be around. Life is for living and they live it up!

Congratulations you two! We love to see such compatibility and happiness in a couple - and we can't wait to see where this next adventure takes you.

We are so excited to share our latest collaboration with Robyn from the Real Food Whole Life blog. Robyn reached out to us to see if we'd be interested in photographing a series of projects to help illustrate her passion for eating healthy and how she shares her insights with her family and wide audience. Ummmm, yes please!

We joined Robyn for a baking session with her adorable 3-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Elle. Today's recipe: One-Bowl Cranberry Orange Muffins (gluten-free and refined sugar-free). Amy & Jason's Cannon Beach Wedding

There is no question that Amy and Jason are deeply connected to each other. Their story has years of trials, triumphs and ultimately LOVE that brought them together in partnership. They have embraced this love with open arms and on their wedding day, it was apparent for all to see.

Over the years they've maintained a healthy balance of goofy-fun-times with the get-stuff-done-times, and their wedding is a perfect example of that. So much thought and effort went into handmade decorations, including 1,000 origami cranes, personalized cocktails, and twine wrapped flower centerpieces. And on their wedding day - from start to finish - they joked and laughed and had so much fun! Their energy is infectious and their love abounds.

It was a pleasure to photograph this adorable couple. A & J, we wish you all the best in your partnership and are excited to see where the future takes you.

Jessica & Eric's EcoTrust Wedding

Jessica and Eric got married this past September on the roof of the EcoTrust building. Overlooking Portland's beautiful Pearl District, they said their vows surrounded by friends and family during a simple and intimate ceremony. At the reception, Eric told the story of how they met and how he overheard a conversation where she expressed her love for kayaking - which he later used as his "in" to get know her. With confidence he asked her to to join him kayaking (admitting later he knew very little about the sport) and she agreed. And the rest, they say, is history. Kari & Toby's wedding is a reminder of the many reasons to love the Pacific Northwest. From the pouring rain that stopped MINUTES before the outdoor ceremony, to the classic McMenamin's Edgefield venue with lush greenery and vineyard, to the couple's unique ceremony filled with a ring warming service and live music played by their talented friends...it was a wedding day to remember! The bride wore a yellow lace wedding dress with cowboy boots and the groom donned his best suspenders with bow tie. The couple's 2-year old son, who was also dressed to the nines, stole the spotlight many times over. The event was filled with laughter, love and dancing. Newborn Joel

A & S welcomed their second son in July of this year bringing their family up to four! Little Joel, who seems to be the spitting image of his daddy, spent most of our session sleeping and eating (as newborns do). It's always such an honor to document a couple's wedding and then be asked to photograph their baby years later. K & M elected to have their daughter's first photo session at their home in North Portland. Mom and dad are Portland-based architects with a modern style and a sense of whimsy (note the temporary art installation on the ceiling made with hundreds of baseball cards). The weather was uncomfortably hot on the day of the photo shoot and their home was in the midst of a remodel, but the couple and their 6-month old little girl seemed unfazed by it all. Little Vinh has the sweetest temperament and the coolest hair...talk about a winning combo for a photo shoot! Thanks K & M for bringing us back to document your growing family!

Newborn Leo 1-Day Old

Melissa and Matt (aka M&M)'s newest family member was set to arrive on June 1st, 2015 at OHSU Hospital. Big sister, 2-year-old Siena, was excited to welcome her new brother Leo to the family. M&M knew it would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to document this first meeting, so they invited Parallel Photography to the hospital to photograph these very important memories. Matt's mom and partner rounded out the group that day and they both oozed warmth and love for their grandbabies. And Siena was the SWEETEST big sister! Watching her with her baby brother nearly brought tears to our eyes...and when baby Leo cried it brought tears to Siena's eyes (bless her heart!). What a beautiful family! M&M, it was such an honor of to be part of your day and to be among the first to welcome baby Leo to the world. Much love and congratulations!

This past year, Brenda and her husband Rodney II welcomed little Rodney III into their lives! They call their precious 4-month-old 'Roddy'. Erin and Brenda had worked together as urban designers for many years; Brenda is an incredibly talented artist and creates exquisite hand and digital renderings. In the time we shared with the Payne Family during our photo session, it was clear that little Roddy had his dad's handsome features and his mom's warm and exuberant personality. What a beautiful mix! Congrats Brenda and Rodney II on your precious boy.

Amy & Andy's Winter Wedding

We kicked off the new year by photographing Amy & Andy's beautiful winter-wedding. Even though the pair currently reside in Alaska while Amy completes her residency, they opted to celebrate their nuptials here in Portland where they have deeper roots. Given the unseasonably warm wedding day, Amy & Andy took the opportunity to stroll hand-in-hand from their hotel to the West End Ballroom, where their ceremony and reception were held. The short walk was a perfect opportunity to photograph the adorable couple taking in the city's sites. The wedding ceremony was simple and sweet, followed by a lively cocktail hour and heartfelt toasts during dinner. It wasn't long before the reception started rockin...and this groups really knew how to dance! Thanks Amy & Andy for inviting us to be part of your special day. It was a privilege and we had a blast!

Happy Birthday Parallel! A 4-Year Retrospective:

We have said it before and we will say it again…Parallel Photography is a great source of joy and pride for us! We are entering our fifth year of business and are excited to see what the new year will bring. But as we look into the future, we want to recognize and reflect on our journey thus far...

In the last four years since starting our business, we have had the privilege of documenting many of your lives - capturing important memories through our lenses. We have witnessed first-steps, sibling love, joyous marriages, and have grown independently and as partners as a result. When we first started out, we photographed our friends - a common starting point for many photographers. In time, those friends shared our name with their friends, and their friends shared with other friends, and...well, you get the idea. Before long, we were meeting new clients, making new friends and photographing more memories.

There have been two families in particular who have been monumental in assisting our business and have also been two of our most loyal clients - the Esteban and Conway families. We'd like to take this opportunity to extend a very heartfelt and special THANKS to you both, not only for inviting us into your lives over the years, but also for sharing our name with so many others. We wouldn't be where we are today without you! We'd also like to thank each and every one of our clients for putting your trust in us to tell your stories. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all!

Looking ahead, we already have an exciting line-up for 2015 that includes destination weddings, family and newborn sessions, architectural photography and event coverage. We'll be offering mini-sessions in the spring or summer (weather permitting) and we look forward to photographing families/couples in new and exciting places - our eyes are always scanning for picturesque backdrops. We even plan to take on some personal photography projects in the near future.

All-in-all, we welcome year 5 of Parallel Photography with open arms! We hope to see all of you along the way.

Fall 2014 Mini Family Portrait Sessions

This past October we held one of our Mini Family Portrait Sessions at Laurelhurst Park in SE Portland and are so grateful to the families who signed up to join us. We offer a 30 minute portrait special twice a year - usually Fall and Spring, and choose an inspired place for our clients to have their photos taken. We were so happy to choose Laurelhurst Park for the 2014 mini sessions. Not all of the golden leaves had fallen from the trees yet and it had not rained in a while, which was a pleasant treat. It was surprisingly warm for a Portland Fall day, the dappled light was perfect, and everyone was in good spirits. Thank you to everyone who participated in this last Fall mini session and please keep a look out on our Facebook and our blog for our next Mini Session offered. We look forward to sharing a fun day with you and your family!

The Wilhelm Family at Cathedral Park

What a terrific day we had with the Wilhelms at Cathedral Park. The weather was perfect and Jenny and Greg's daughter, Kaitlyn was is great spirits. Jenny told us that she was voted "most expressive" at her daycare - and fortunately for us, she was true to form. Kaitlyn just turned 2 and was as curious and sweet as can be. She loved watching the boats sail by (boats are one of her favorite discoveries) and throwing rocks into the river. It helps remind us that sometimes the simplest things in life are the best! Thank you Jenny, Greg, and Kaitlyn for spending such a beautiful morning with us. We look forward to watching Kaitlyn explore through the years.

Kier Turns One

Linsey and Trevor Get Married

We had the great pleasure of photographing Linsey and Trevor's wedding at the cute coastal courthouse in Tillamook, OR. These two are a terrific couple! They started an amazing brewery on the coast before they got married, De Garde Brewering, which specializes in sour beers inspired by European farmhouse traditions. Trevor is the head brewer and Linsey runs the business. They are partners in work, life and love. It is obvious that they love what they do and they do it so well! Next time you're in Tillamook, head over to their tasting room - the bottles and labels are inspired, the beer is phenomenal, and Linsey and Trevor make a beautiful team! Tobecksen Family Fall 2014

They're at it again! The Tobecksen kids can't help being adorable and infectiously fun! We photographed Grady and Kay at Laurelhurst Park a couple months back and we had the most amazing autumn light (and photographs) you could ask for. Without prompting or cajoling, the two kids posed for the cameras and made the shoot so enjoyable and easy. They're probably used to it by now as this is our 3rd year photographing this fabulous family. We love following them around and watching them play; Grady is such a good-hearted child, and Kay is so wonderfully inquisitive. It's been a real pleasure watching them grow each year and we look forward to many more autumn shoots to come!

We had the extreme pleasure of photographing Marissa and Alex on their wedding day last month. This couple's story and journey has been such a great inspiration to us and we were honored to be part of their important day...not to mention that we lucked out with absolutely gorgeous weather!

We met M & A while volunteering for the ACLU. We soon learned that we had mutual shared principles, specifically in regard to civil liberties and basic rights. Working with the couple, during these ACLU events and especially on their wedding day, has been a terrific collaboration. The love they share is undeniable and their commitment to each other (as well as their commitment to their values) is remarkable. Congratulations to the two of you and best of luck in the years to come - may your life be filled with happiness and important activism!

It's almost that time of year again and before the Fall slips right past us, we wanted to offer our annual Fall Special. If you need family portraits for Holiday cards, newborn portraits in the pretty fall leaves, pregnancy photos, or fun photos of your kiddos in their halloween costumes, etc - this is your chance!

The Details:

When: Saturday, October 4th 2014 from 9am - 2pm - rain or shine. If it does rain, bring your cute umbrellas and rain boots and we'll make the most of our Pacific Northwest outdoors.

Where: Laurelhurst Park, Portland OR

What: $99 for a 30 minute mini-portrait session!

What Do I Get: You will receive up to 10 beautifully edited images to download and use as you'd like (and the option to purchase additional photos). Photos delivered up to 8 weeks after session for delivery.

Motherhood-A snapshot of the milestones

Sharing the experience of motherhood with these great friends has been one of Erin's biggest joys in parenting. We have been documenting our process into motherhood through photography, and now that three of our four kiddos have turned 2 years old, we took the opportunity to update our photo sequence (see Eva and Noah's Birthday Party post for some adorable party photos). Wayburn Family Portraits

A couple of weeks ago Kate met the Wayburns in Lake Oswego for a short 30 minute portrait session (part of the July Photo Special we offered on Facebook this summer). The family came prepared with happy attitudes, smiles, and a good-natured willingness to be photographed (which can be a challenge for some - even Kate and Erin have a hard time sometimes being in front of the camera). The weather was great and though it was a short session, we were very pleased with the photos produced. Thank you Wayburns for such a fun and easy photo shoot. Let's do it again soon!

Sauvie Island Lavender Farm with the Conways

We met the Conways at The Sauvie Island Lavender Farm to photograph the family (including Grandma and Grandpa visiting from out of town). The Conway girls arrived with energy to run around, enthusiasm to cut bundles of lovely lavender, and pose patiently for the cameras. At this point the Conways are one of our most photographed clients and we feel so blessed to be their go-to photographers. Through the years the girls have become more accustomed to us and the family is always up for new adventures - which all leads to a super fun shoot and lots of beautiful photos! Parallel is grateful to the Conways for opening up their lives to us and we are so excited to see what the future holds for these bright, inquisitive, kind little girls.

Hawthorne & Gryphon

Hawthorne & Gryphon not only have great names, they are also absolutely adorable kiddos! We photographed little Gryphon as a newborn back in 2011 and he is now almost 3-years old. His parents, our good friends Chena and Brad, have added 6-month old Hawthorne to the mix and now they are a beautiful family of four. Little Hawthorne was so much fun to photograph. She already knows all her best angles and as long as mom, dad and big brother sang the "A, B, C's" to her, she just kept on smiling! Notice those DIMPLES!!! We look forward to following these littles around with the camera for years to come.

Melissa is nearing the end of her studies at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and she will soon be looking for the perfect clinic that can utilize her talents. Before she is about to embark on her next career adventure, she needed some headshots for her LinkedIn profile and other social media. It was appropriate that she chose the Lan Su Chinese Gardens in Downtown Portland for the backdrop of some of her headshots. We also grabbed some shots against a Clinker brick building in Old Town for some more 'urban' photos and a bit of a different feel.

Tobecksen Family Fall Session

Last fall we met the Tobecksens for a family portrait session at their beautiful new home in SW Portland. We walked to Grady's elementary school to play in the school garden and along the way, Kay and Grady took advantage of the fallen leaves. They have grown so much since we saw them last and they're playfulness and inquisitive minds are such a joy to witness. The Tobecksen family is so fun to photograph and we look forward to our next session with them and to watch Grady and Kay enter each new phase of their lives.

Oregon Allows Same Sex Marriage!

On Monday, a Federal judge in Eugene, OR ruled that the 2004 ban on same sex marriage was not legal and overturned it. Parallel Photography volunteered to cover the event for the ACLU of Oregon. We started at the county courthouse where couples stood in line to receive their marriage licenses. When the decision was announced the crowd erupted! The court house doors opened and couples streamed in to get their license.

Many couples walked to the Melody Ballroom afterward where Ministers were waiting to marry them in simple yet profound ceremonies. It was such an honor to be a part of this historic moment and we're incredibly grateful to the people who have fought so hard to make this happen. Congratulations Oregon - we're one step closer to equality.

Here's a little about us (in case you didn't already know). Four years ago, Erin and Kate met through a mutual friend and discovered we shared a similar passion for photography.

Less than a year later, after collaborating on a variety of photography projects, we formed Parallel Photography and have been happily documenting weddings, families, events, headshots, and more as a team ever since.

Fall Family Portraits with Jordi

This past Fall was so mild that we were able to really take advantage of the foliage and play with Jordi in the beautiful (and relatively dry) fallen leaves. Jordi jumped right into the scene and kicked, and tossed, and rolled around in the brilliant yellow and orange piles. His bright eyes capture the exuberance of the day and made this photo shoot not only a success for us, but a memorable day for the whole family.

Fall is one of our favorite times of year to photograph and we're so grateful that Elsa and Francisco were willing to cover themselves with leaves and roll around on the ground with Jordi. With every visit Jordi becomes more and more adventurous and has been such a joy to play with and photograph. We are certain that the whole family had as much fun on this shoot as we did!

Berry Picking with the Conways

Last summer we joined the full-of-life Conway family on Sauvie Island for a berry picking/photo session. Megan made the suggestion that we come along with them and photograph the day and we have say - it was a fantastic idea! We couldn't have chosen a hotter day and still the girls happily picked the fruit and ate their fill of blueberries and raspberries along the way. It has been such a treat to photograph the girls throughout the years and watch them grow. We can see their personalities expand with every visit including baby Sullivan - from bellybump to Christening, to a walking and laughing 1+ year old has been a joy to watch. We are really happy with these photos and are planning our next family portrait session with the Conways currently. Can't wait to see the girls!

Sarah and Curtis are Expecting

Sarah and Curtis have been longtime friends and when they told us she was pregnant, we were so excited to follow them into this next great adventure in their lives. We were fortunate to be able to photograph the proud parents-to-be just a few weeks before their baby son joined this world. Sarah had an incredible amount of energy and Curtis did a wonderful job doting on and supporting his very pregnant wife. Both were full of anticipation to meet their baby boy. We can tell that this boy will never feel unloved - and we cannot wait to give him lots of love too!

It is with the utmost joy that I introduce pregnant Erin! Erin--my business partner, confidant, close friend, and sister--told me she was pregnant in January 2012 and it has been a thrill beyond words to watch her grow into the woman and the mother she is today. Before her son was born, I had the privilege of photographing her baby shower and her belly bump photos. In September 2012, she entered into motherhood with grace and I am so thrilled to be by her side as she finds her way through parenthood with her fabulous husband and absolutely adorable child Quintin! This has been one of the most amazing journeys I've had the opportunity to be part of, and I cannot wait to witness Erin's and Ken's baby become an individual being and an echo of his loving mom and dad. Liliana's Baptism

Liliana and her mom Theresa are part of Erin's mama-baby playgroup that meets monthly. So when Liliana's parents planned her baptism, they asked Parallel to be there to document the special occasion. Family from near and far gathered at a local N Portland church to celebrate together. Dressed in her beautiful white gown, Liliana looked and behaved the part of a perfect angel. Her proud parents beamed down at her from the front of the church as the priest bestowed his blessings and prayers upon her. The baptism was followed by family photos in the park and a reception at the family's home. Congratulations Liliana and family. Thank you for inviting us to be part of your special day!

The Kiraly Family + One More

Another wonderful portrait shoot of the beautiful Kiraly family…with one addition! Please welcome the charming Lukas. This was our first introduction to him and we couldn't help but be reminded of when we first photographed his sister, Adeline back in 2011 as a tiny 6-month-old - and now she is an older sister to her new 2-month-old brother. It was so great to see how Adeline has grown and continues to develop into a fabulously cheerful little girl. We know Lukas will also grow up to be a sweet young boy and we're so happy for the whole Kiraly family! Thank you for letting us document your family's life, once again.

Sarah's Baby Shower

Our very good friends Sarah and Curtis are expecting their first baby any day now, and we couldn't be more thrilled for them! This lovely couple has been in both of our lives for many years and watching them prepare for this next evolution in their lives has been such a joy. We've seen Curtis become more and more excited watching Sarah's growing belly bump, and we've witnessed Sarah gracefully transition from a difficult first trimester to a smooth second and third trimester. Recently, we had the privilege of attending and photographing Sarah's baby shower. Three generations of Sarah's loved ones were there; from her friends and their babies, to the new grandparents to be. It was a sweet and lovely event, just like Sarah. We CANNOT wait to meet their baby boy! Congratulations Sarah and Curtis - your little guy will be a joy in all our lives!

Elizabeth and Rajeev Welcome Baby Griffith

Elizabeth and Rajeev celebrated their Portland baby shower on December 22nd, approximately 6 weeks after their precious son Griffith was born. Since they currently reside in Los Angeles, the new parents flew with their newborn son up to Portland to celebrate with family and friends. Parallel Photography photographed their wedding in early 2011, and we were all too happy to document a special moment in this next chapter of their lives. As Griffith was gingerly passed around the crowd of adoring people, he maintained a happy existence - and it is obvious that he's already aware of the love that surrounds him. We look forward to watching him grow into a sweet little boy and a thoughtful, productive young man. Congratulations E & R!

Willis Family Fall Portraits

We were so pleased to have another Fall shoot with the Willis Family. Seeing Ryder and Tate a year later was such treat - a year older and even cuter! Taking portraits of the family around the same time of year each year has created a great tradition and gives the Willis's an opportunity to watch the kids grow. We're so fortunate that Portland Falls are colorful and, if lucky, dry and perfect for pre-holiday photos.

Liz and Brent Wedding - Portland, OR

This past summer Liz and Brent married at the Portland World Trade Center surrounded by their good friends and family - including some of Portland's most influential political figures. The day couldn't have been nicer nor both of their families any sweeter. Liz and Brent looked so easy with each other and we have no doubt that they are going to have a long and happy life together. Welcome Baby Sullivan!

On the day of 2-month-old Sullivan's Christening we took photos of her and her family. They were all dressed up and had extended family in town for the event so it was the perfect time for portraits. Sullivan, truly a mellow baby was easily passed between people and had only brief moments of unhappiness after lots of attention from her affectionate sisters. Congratulations to the Conway family for yet another beautiful daughter!

9-Month-Old Jordi

Baby Jordi is growing up! Back in February we photographed Jordi at 4-months-old, and at the end of July we were invited back to photograph him at 9-months-old. This time around Jordi was in the midst of his teething stage, learning to eat solid foods, and was obviously much more active than he was 5 months ago…all big changes since our last visit. Even with all of his progress, Jordi was still a photographer's dream! He took the photo session as an opportunity to play with his parents in the yard, wrestle with the family Dachshund, Dali, and enjoy a hearty homemade lunch... all the while cooperating with the cameras.

His lovely parents, Elsa and Francisco, are the epitome of loving supportive parents and we look so forward to our next session with their family. Thank you both for the opportunity to document your son's development. It is a true honor!

Vanessa and Darren - Tinicum, PA

Vanessa and Darren met in NY several years ago and the attraction turned to love almost immediately. From the outside they seem to compliment each other well - the way they laugh together, the way they are creative together, the way they support each other. But the more time one spends with them the more it becomes apparent that they truly belong together. Both unique and yet similar. We are really excited to see where the upcoming years bring them and wish them both a happy and healthy life together!

Alex recently took advantage of a summer day at Laurelhurst Park in SE Portland with his parents. Jungle gym, swings, soccer, and cookies brought out the most amazing expressions from the often quiet and reserved 3-year-old boy. He lit up and clearly enjoyed every minute of the time he spent at the park and all we had to do was chase after and capture his exuberance in photos. This was the second time we had the privilege of photographing Alex and his beautiful family, the first time was last May.

The Conway Family - Spring Outting

Back in the fall of 2011, we photographed the Conway Family including mom, dad and their two darling little girls. With the family expecting their third child this summer, they asked us to come back and photograph them all again, this time while mom was pregnant. We started off playing at the Grant Park, but when it was clear that the cold weather wasn't going to warm up we headed back to the Conway's house. It was fun to see how things had changed in 6 months; the girls had grown both in size and personality, and the whole family was eager to welcome their newest family member. We can't wait to photograph the family again when baby Conway arrives (the baby's gender will be a surprise)! Thanks again Megan and Dan for inviting us to be part of your day. Congratulations!
